This clip is just before the first show of the tour in Donetsk, Ukraine.  The house lights would not go down so the show could not start.  Misha (the stage sound man and part of the road crew) smoked a pipe during the shows and he, Eric and John (the FOH sound man) are talking on walkie talkies.  The man in the pink shirt was the local promoter and to the best of my knowledge never said a word to anybody in the band during the entire time they were in town.  He certainly was not a happy person.

Coming down the stairs to the stage everybody was happy and upbeat and looking forward to the rest of the tour.  The Russian road crew called me something that is not what it sounds like in English.  It’s Russian for “Mr. Anywhere” which is what the pass said (In Russian) and I felt compelled to wear the pass at all times.  I did not want to be involved in any situations where I got into trouble for being somewhere that I shoudn’t.  I’m pretty sure that I was the only person in the crew that wore that thing.  Check that — the guy in the red shirt had one around his neck.  If I recall correctly I stole his before the next show.  And I still keep it handy for some strange reason.
